The mailing list
If you sign up for the free bonus tale, I collect your email address (and your first name, if you choose to give it). I use it only to:
- send you the bonus tale you asked for, and
- occasionally tell you about new books by Ken Trevena.
The legal basis is your consent. You confirm your sign-up by clicking a link in a confirmation email, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Your details are never sold or shared with anyone else for their own marketing.
The list is managed with MailPoet, a WordPress plugin. Your details are stored on this website’s server, and emails are sent through the MailPoet sending service, which processes your email address only to deliver them. I keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
Books bought on Amazon
If you buy one of my books on Amazon, Amazon does not share your name, address or any other details with me. That purchase is covered by Amazon’s own privacy notice.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information held about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent at any time. Just email ken@trevena.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
